Info Post
Although I feel as though I am only taking baby steps towards getting my new venture up and running, so much has been done over the last couple of weeks since I last posted!  We were busy bees getting our  home in order for a birthday party we were hosting, which meant getting a lot unfinished projects around the house completed, such as: touch up painting all the walls, adding crown molding to our kitchen cabinets, installing my new filing center, yard work, painting our bedroom and two bathrooms, installing a new mini chandelier, putting in patio for the puppy kennel, and starting our garage organization project!  Needless to say, we got A LOT accomplished, and it felt GREAT!

Needless to say, all this fall cleanup work we have done around the house, has slowed me down from starting up my business, but has not halted it completely.  Since I last blogged, I have done some things to keep moving forward.

I took a roadtrip to my happy place, "The Container Store" and browsed for products and ideas.  I picked up a new product from Post-It, which are new label pads that I plan to use to finish up the garage organization project.  (Before and After pictures will follow!)  I will also review the new product to see if they are worth the $5 bucks a pack price!

I gained my first two clients!  A daycare mom and friend of mine, has asked me to help her get her pictures organized, and as a gift to my mom, I have volunteered to help her with her "ugly room" as my 8 year old would call it.  It houses years upon years of boxes and items and has no purpose today other than storage, which I hope to help change!  I can't wait to get started on both projects!  And again, I will make sure to blog about the process!

I started reading chapter 2 of the book, How to Start a Home-Based Professional Organizing Business, which is all about creating a home office space.  Bryan and I have picked out the perfect spot, and now we just have to build it!  (The desk that is!)  The book recommends, when starting any home based business, to create the office space away from the rest of the house and family, as to not be distracted when working with clients or brainstorming ideas.  I completely agree, as I know my kids love to get their happy hands on everything mine, therefore, the new office space will be in our little sitting room off of our bedroom, away from it all!  I will make sure to post pictures of the transformation as we start working on it, I am uber excited to get going!

This past weekend I spent a lot of time riding in the car, so I used that time to read through some of my favorite organizing books, and jotted down a lot of great ideas, tips and tricks from them.  I also did a lot of brainstorming on new blog posts for my "Tips & Tricks I Heart" page!

I created a page on Facebook!  So if you haven't already, check it out and "Become a Fan". I will be updating facebook with things I am working on, links to blog posts and asking lots of questions to get ideas from all of you!

Lastly, I FINALLY got my logo done!  I spent hours upon hours playing with ideas and art and decided on something so simple, but I like it and am glad to finally be moving forward!

A very special Thank You to all that are keeping up on my blog and participating in my polls!  Your support has been amazing!
