Info Post
One of my blogging BFF's, Toni, from the incredibly inspirational A Bowl Full of Lemons, is hosting a Parade of Homes.  I can't begin to shout out how excited I am about such an incredible event full of insane amounts of inspiration!

I am so honored to be part of such an incredible blog party and incredibly grateful you are here to take a peek at our abode.  So without further ado, welcome!

Our ranch home was built almost 10 years ago in 2001.  Everything was done very basic low cost, and we have slowly been chipping away at it since we moved in.

We lack an entry and truly pop right into our living area when you walk through the front door:

The bookcases were a recent project to house our television components and games and books.  It was created by taking stock bookcases from Ikea, and piecing them together to create a "built-in" feeling.

To the right of the front door is a shoe cabinet to keep all that footwear at bay:

And if you gaze to the left, you will see my most favorite wall in our home... my gallery wall filled with my smiling little kidlets!!

Any area of the home that contains photos of my family, are truly my happy places!

This living room truly represents my style.  Bright, fresh and cheerful.

I also pop a laptop at a console table to create a workspace where I can still be near my family!  It works just perfectly!

Moving from the living room right to the kitchen...

The kitchen is fairly open to the living room, which makes for great flow and conversation!  The only updates we have made to this heart of the home is painting the oak cabinetry, but many more plans lay in the future of this room!

The garage entry comes right into the kitchen, so it was important to install a command station and hooks to corral all those things that come with entering the home from sports and school days:

Across the kitchen in the eating area, we added a buffet table to house all of our appliances and a shelving system to hold our wine glasses and offer a decorative display space:

Leading down the hall, the first door on the right is a small bathroom that our little men share:

Our towel box was made from lumbar scraps, scrapbook chipboard letters and paint:

Further down the hall is our oldest son's bedroom.

The desk was built into this closet to provide ample homework and puzzle doing space!  He just loves this little zone and we couldn't be happier that it provided that little extra motivation to dig into his studies each night!

Right next door is a bedroom that is now shared by two brothers...

This month, both of the kiddo's bedrooms are getting many fun updates, so stay tuned for those, however, for now, they are still great places for our little munchkins to rest their heads!

And across the hall is mom's and dad's master bedroom!

The intent was to create a cozy and restful retreat to get away from it all.  And that it does.  The sunburst mirror was created from poster-board and a closet workspace was added to this space as well, to create the perfect zone for journaling and crafting and giving mom a place to take a moment to herself!

That completes the tour of our main level, and currently the only finished space in our lower level is our fun and colorful laundry room!

So although that completes the tour, I hope you stick around awhile and make yourself at home!  I am so grateful to have you today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Next on the Parade of Homes tour is such a gorgeous home!  Seriously, wait til you see it, you will be inspired beyond belief...  I am proud to present the home tour of La Famille.

And if you want to head back to the beginning of the incredible Parade of Homes tour, you can head back to A Bowl Full of Lemons to tour Toni's lovely abode!

Thanks again everyone and have the most lovely day!
