For Sara, jewelry making is the newest in her long line of hobbies.  When crochet and knitting became too challenging with small children, she tried hand at making a few necklaces and earrings.  It was supposed to be a small hobby that would fit in a box and no more than that.  Soon she was making jewelry for friends, and had made so many pieces, the only sensible thing left to do was sell some of them.  She enjoys keeping her pieces affordable and focuses on supporting other small businesses along the way.  She purchases the majority of her supplies from a locally owned bead shop or from other Etsy sellers.  She works mostly in sterling silver and gold alternatives in hopes of keeping her prices low and quality high.
